Meet Miss Yvonne
Miss Yvonne is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in classical piano, 1974, and Queens College with a Masters of Science degree in Education, 2006. Soon after graduating MSM in '74, Miss Yvonne studied a unique keyboard harmony method from the late Sanford Gold. It enabled her to make up her own arrangements to any tune. She became a "high society" pianist performing in the most prestigious of venues; The Garden City Hotel 1986-89, The Rihga Royal 1989-1990, The Hordervrie on the 107th floor of building one, WTC, 1991-93; She was a fill in at The Waldorf, The St. Moritz, and The Plaza. In 1998 she became the lobby pianist for Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. During this time in 2005 she was featured pianist on Victoria Crosby's Radio program "Oasis" 90.3 FM. After the Crest Hollow job ended in 2015 , Ms. Yvonne focused more on her classical playing and recently performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall as an accompanist. Miss Yvonne has been teaching private piano lessons to children for over 30 years. Students are prepared for NYSSMA, National Piano Guild, our yearly recital and if a student is so inclined, competition! And last but not least, Miss Yvonne has a daughter, Alicia, whom is married with two young children which makes Miss Yvonne a grandma. She couldn’t be more blessed!
